That success can be explained by Filipa’s commitment and passion in her more than 18 years’ experience at JWT, BBDO and Brandia managing international brands, always applying a strategic vision. By being constantly motivated she’s focused on any challenges and achieving excellent results, both by supporting good ideas and managing their implementation with distinction.

Ricardo Miranda

Ricardo Miranda

\ Founder and Creative Partner

Ricardo started his career as a lawyer, but embraced advertising in 1993, a move he has never regretted, despite being constantly teased by friends.

He worked for Leo Burnett, FCB, Edson and MKT as a copywriter, account executive and creative director. In 2006, he started working for Brandia, where he discovered branding, which has been his love ever since. On 16th August 2016, he founded Wonder\Why with Filipa Robalo.

Ricardo is a published author with 2 books on the subject of advertising and branding – “The voice of corporations” (2002, Porto Editora), “Fight gravity” (co-author, 2009, Livros D’hoje). He writes for the Portuguese media, both online and in print, on a wide range of topics, from the evolution of bank advertising to the branding of the Roman Empire. He’s also the proud father of four kids, all boys.

Things he has learned so far:

Put people first  when we commit to understanding what people want, how they feel and how they work, we are better prepared to bring out the best in them. First we connect, then we create. To achieve this, a creative leader has to understand the different mindsets and methods of designers and creatives (graphic, web, 3D, advertising, activation, digital…), so that the creative team can work in perfect sync. Putting people first, therefore, means getting to know people – one by one.

Culture breeds excellence  an inspiring legacy and an exciting human environment can work wonders.

It better be big  even in the smallest projects, we should look for the grand scale of things.

Never stop looking  tracking the evolution of human behaviour allows us to have a glimpse of what the future of branding might be.
